The Spa and Wellness division of the hospitality industry is rapidly growing. As times become more hectic, more Americans than every before are willing to spend hundreds and even thousands of dollars to get away from it all. From a hard days work, they would want to relax and relieve their stress. The so-called wellness revolution has given rise to a whole new kind of hospitality clients, and has stimulated astounding growth in the spa and wellness industry. It has become one of the hottest areas of the hospitality industry today. Based on the International Spa Association, the industry experienced an average annual revenue growth of 18 percent between 2003 and 2005, and the number of hospitality jobs in spas grew by 11 percent.

In relation to the 11 percent growth of hospitality jobs in the spa and wellness division, it also provided employees with a sustainable income. It gave way for ambitious opportunity or career seekers who want to be a part of the hospitality industry.

Spa and Wellness Division also widened the range of the hospitality industry in a way that it gives more opportunities to business minded people and raised the standards of the industry.

Another effect is the educational opportunities that the industry has created. If you want to enter in this field, you need to earn a degree in hospitality management. Hospitality and Tourism Industry plays a very important role in the economy of a country. It includes billions of dollars and it is an ongoing process of nourishment in the economy. It consists of multiple sorts of departments from side-street motels to multi-million 5 star hotels, inns, restaurants, resorts, destination spas and airline agencies. Spa and Wellness plays a vital role in the tourism of a country. From locals to tourists, they are drawn towards destination spas for the rejuvenation of their mind, soul and body as well as their wellness. Since these businesses deal with consumers seeking for quality services, customer satisfaction is their number one priority.

Customers who go to spa and wellness establishments seek for happiness, healthiness, more alert and more agile cardiovascular health. They also seek for renewal and relaxation. Spa and wellness companies come in a wide range of programs and personalities. From body to facial treatments, hiking trips, yoga, massage, nutritional therapy, dietary programs, and etc.

Employees must also have a foundation of management and entrepreneurial skills. These employees must be experienced and hard-working.

The employees must also know how to anticipate the needs of the customers and go out of their way to help them whenever they can. Friendly and approachable must be two of their characters. They must know how to honor the promises given by the establishment to the customers regarding guaranteed satisfaction.

Most importantly, spa and wellness company workers must have high moral and ethical values. They must always remember their morality because they are in close contact with their customers. These people must know how to act in a manner consistent with the high moral and ethical standards of profession.
